  • What drew you to base your office in Gateshead?

Justin (my business partner) and I had worked in Gateshead on Team Valley for many years and it felt right to lay down roots nearby, although we've now moved twice since start-up to accommodate our growth. We are really enjoying our current offices on The Watermark and have an awesome view up and down the River Tyne.

  • What do you specialise in?

Synergi is an award-winning and highly experienced Microsoft Gold Partner in Cloud Productivity. Through our focus and innovation, we work closely with customers across the UK to develop and deliver their digital transformation strategy; empowering employees through communication and collaboration, driving greater efficiency and productivity through workflow and process automation, and gaining insight through business intelligence and real-time analytics.

  • What makes you stand out from competitors?

Focus and expertise in the products that we promote, we are not a normal or traditional IT company. We work with modern cloud tools and help our customers improve efficiency and productivity, we are not supporting ageing server rooms and desktops, we have a modern focus.

  • Do you have any exciting news to tell?

We recently won another Nintex Partner of the Year EMEA Award for the third year running, Nintex is a core product in our strategy, it's is widely used globally to help businesses drive intelligent process automation. We're very proud to be held in such high regard and continue to be recognised as a leading partner.

  • What are your thoughts on PROTO, the new R+D Centre for Emerging Tech in Gateshead?

It is wonderful to see so much support for technology development and innovation within the North East. PROTO will be the perfect place to facilitate and encourage this innovation.

  • How (if at all) have Gateshead Council supported your business?

We are pleased to be getting support and help to promote our growth and accessing marketing support through Generator scheme.

  • What is a common misperception about the North East?

Many outside the region may believe that the North East is just a great place to socialise for leisure weekends, which of course it is, or that's it's maybe lagging with its technology use. The reality is there is a great amount of innovation taking place in the region, the North East is very much thriving and leading in digital change.
